    10-22 Take Down

Picked up a used take down this evening.
Wasn't really a fan of them but the price was right enough.
Grand daughter is gonna need something to shoot some day.

You can't really go wrong with a 10/22.

I always wanted one for backpacking.

I have a regular one, and had several before over the years.
The take down I wasn't really impressed with at first but it kinda grew on me.

I recently bought a uuuuuuuuused one. Man it is dirty and doesn’t want to run. It did shoot most of the time, I’ll get around to deep cleaning it soon to see if it corrects itself.
Kind of a cool rig and it does break down into two manageable size.

Got it cleaned up pretty. Man it didn’t want to go back together. Ended up using the bench vise to hold it still. My other 10-22 isn’t that hard. Maybe it’s just a takedown deal. Anyway I’m going to try and wring it out T-day. I put an old Weaver Sportsman rimfire scope on it. Hopefully I don’t regret buying it, I never felt like you could wear a Ruger out.

You had to put it in a bench vise to put it back together?

Yup. Kept popping apart. I didn’t want to loose any parts. It actually made it pretty simple.
